Our NOVA 7.2m x 3.6m Pergola Last winter, our 6m x 3m fabric gazebo collapsed under the weight of snow and rain. That made us realise these structures just aren’t built to withstand winter conditions unless you take them down each year—so we decided not to replace it with another gazebo. We wanted something far more robust. After spotting a pergola in a local garden centre and doing careful research online, we found Emma at Gardens of Style. Following a helpful conversation, we chose a larger 7.2m x 3.6m model from Nova—big enough for both dining and seating areas for eight people. We also installed a composite deck to create a level base, which proved to be the perfect decision. The pergola has genuinely transformed how we use our space. We’re out there every day for coffee, lunch, and regular barbecues. It feels like adding another room outdoors, and we love watching the birds and visiting pheasants from the surrounding fields. The structure itself is excellent—strong, stable in heavy winds, and thoughtfully designed. The louvered roof drains neatly through the legs, and the optional screens are easy to use, secure, and effective even in poor weather. We’ve added electricity, lighting, and heating, making it usable in all conditions. It wasn’t a cheap project, but you truly get what you pay for.
