ScandiFlames Spitsberg is a freestanding bioethanol fireplace made of cast iron, featuring a manual bioethanol burner that can burn for up to 6 hours on a single refill. The fireplace offers a stunning view of the flames through the large double-door windows at the front, and the beautiful markings and carvings in the cast iron make it a striking centrepiece, even when it's not lit.

ScandiFlames Spitsberg is a freestanding bioethanol fireplace made of cast iron in a design which draws inspiration from traditional Scandinavian wood-burning stoves. The fireplace doesn't require any connection to a flue and burns clean eco-friendly bioethanol fuel.
The included bioethanol burner has a fuel capacity of 2.1 litres, which can burn for up to 6 hours per filling. The burner has an adjustable flame size and at maximum, it will produce about 2.3 kW of heat.
The construction of cast iron has various imprints and cutouts which add to the design and feel of a traditional Scandinavian wood burner stove - furthermore, the cast iron is really great at holding and radiating heat long after the fireplace has stopped burning.
Spitsberg also has a decorative top that extends into an elegant peak. This top can be removed if you prefer a more minimalist look, or to use the flat plate underneath for warming a teapot or similar items, adding extra functionality to the fireplace.
On the front of the fireplace a double door with glass grants access to the burner and offers a great view of the flames, when the fireplace is burning.

Spitsbergen Bioethanol Fire Installation:
Spitsberg is a free-standing bioethanol fireplace and because it does not need any connection to a chimney or flue system the installation is super simple. Upon delivery, only a minimum of assembly is required before the fireplace is ready to be used. When assembled the fireplace can freely be placed wherever you want and be moved to a new location later if needed.
The recommended minimum room size requirement for the ScandiFlames Spitsbergen fireplace is 50 m3 (cubic meters).
As a general rule of thumb you will need 1kW of heat for every 15 cubic metre of space to be heated. To calculate what size of fire or stove is needed for your space, measure the width, length and height of the room or space and multiply the three figures together to obtain the cubic area of the space you have. Bioethanol Fires are geneally not as effective as Wood or Gas Stoves that have a much greater heat source, that is why all of our bioethanol fires are designed with a decorative purpose in mind as well as being a more secondary source for heating your home. Generally, unlike primary heat sources, as soon as you turn a Bioethanol Fire off, the heat emitted will disappear.
